The Business Park was born from the public-private initiative proposed by the document of the 1989 Revision of the Antequera General Plan. The strategic position of the city, as it is crossed by the 92 Motorway network and the new High Speed Train (AVE) railway lines with their new stations, generates new strategic productive areas of important urban and territorial centrality in the city.
The Business Park is one of Antequera’s main productive assets, and its unique public-private management has turned this tertiary settlement into a business reference in the “Centre of the South” of Spain. It is located on the tracks of the railway and the access road to the city of Antequera, integrating them into the very design of its layout and strengthening the geographical and historical function they have had in the development of the city in this “hinge” of transition between the Torcal mountain range and the Vega Valley. The two phases of the Business Park, whose public-private management made it possible from its conception to create a model of productive implantation of great capacity in the economic development of the city, are developed on this territorial strip.
