ESTUDIO SEGUÍ WINS THE COMPETITION CALLED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LA LÍNEA DE LA CONCEPCIÓN (CÁDIZ) FOR THE DRAFTING OF ITS NEW GENERAL PLAN.
On the basis of the National Competition announced by the City Council of La Línea on 27 September 2017 for the award of the technical work for the drafting of its new “General Urban Development Plan” and “Catalogue of Protected Assets”, “Estudio Seguí” was the winner of this competition, and the work was awarded on 16 February 2018.
The importance of the proposal’s approach has been to try to rediscover the urban and territorial position of the City of La Línea in its urban relationship with the Rock of Gibraltar, Bay of Algeciras and Costa del Sol, and consequently with the role it necessarily has to play to boost its economy, industry and tourism. The aim is to seek the necessary economic and social qualification to which La Línea should legitimately aspire for the benefit of all its citizens, trying to “get out” of the crisis caused by its current urban and social problems, which are putting the city under serious pressure.
