FIRST PRIZE IN THE “ASTORIA / VICTORIA” IDEAS COMPETITION
The proposal “Ecos Urbanos”, by the architect José Seguí together with Mara Partida and Héctor Mendoza, won the first prize in the Astoria/Victoria contest of ideas to give use to the block of the old cinemas Astoria and Victoria with a project endorsed by Antonio Banderas and that raises a building with Commercial uses, performing arts, music, gastronomy, cinema and live entertainment.
The ideas competition for the block of the former Astoria and Victoria cinemas in Plaza de la Merced has reached a verdict. The architect José Seguí, author of the Torre del Puerto, together with the international studio Mendoza Partida MX_SI (based in Barcelona) and with the financial backing of Antonio Banderas and the Starlite events production company, won the ideas competition for the Astoria and Victoria block yesterday.
