These stations in the city of Malaga conform as authentic “entrance doors” of access by rail to the Costa del Sol.This circumstance advised the search for a powerful image, that could become an attractive urban reference in this zone of the A city strategically located next to the Center for Contemporary Art and the perspective of the channel, in its encounter with the axis of the Park and the Bridge of Tetouan.
A geometrically simple but powerful solution is proposed, through two pure, transverse ripped “bodies” that are capable of generating attractive visualizations during the day and during the night will illuminate both banks of the river as suggestive “torches”. This gives an attractive identification by the user, and an interesting integration into the urban landscape, based on these ripped marble bodies that create different effects both day and night. Likewise, improvements are also being made in the redevelopment of adjacent urban spaces to enhance the qualification required by these stations in the city center and as a point of important connection with the Costa del Sol. With regard to the treatment of their interior spaces, Is solved with the maximum technical standardization and rationalization of its facilities in order to facilitate their future maintenance.
In this way, the accesses are solved in descending vault by escalators, anti-skid floorings, prefabricated metallic elements with antigraffiti ceramic treatment, lighting integrated in the own interior architecture, and finally an attractive visual detail in the platform by means of a set of mirrors To achieve the optical and scenic effect of visual enlargement of said space.
