On the urban outskirts of the city of Vélez Málaga, it was a question of creating an important Park in a land adjoining the city’s Casco Urbano and its new residential extension areas. This strategic situation, being located between the consolidated city and the new city, make it a place of important new urban centrality and patella structuring between both sectors.
It presents a flexible and open space in terms of its possibilities of uses, as well as low maintenance costs for its future permanence. A water slide with a powerful fountain to refer to and side steps to contemplate it, next to the slope that as a “meadow” is designed laterally with the “lookout”, the Kiosk, games and lateral forests of visual protection with the Adjoining built-up areas, try to generate a public space that structures as a “patella” the old and new city.
